Howard Terpning is the “Storyteller of the Native American.” He has won every honor that can be conferred on a Western artist, from gold medals at Cowboy Artists of America shows, to the Western Art Association Best of Show Award, to the Prix de West from the National Academy of Western Art. Terpning has said “The American Indian fascinates me; I could paint two lifetimes without running out of subject matter.”
